Horse Riding

(Left) My Riding Instructor (Philip) and I. He is an English Yorkshire Man -can you believe it, this school is full of all people from the UK! Which makes understanding the riding instructions so much easier, if I dont understand the Italian I just ask for the English translation!

(Below) Taking the small jump on the worlds most naughty horse! (Petro bit me 3 times just whils I was putting his saddle on!) This is also the worlds laziest horse- I have a bad sholder the next day from whipping him so much!

Practising the small poles before jumping. The riding park is in a beautiful place surrounded by bush and gardens which is really strange so close to the city of Turin.

Above is my friend Vanessa, she is spanish from Madrid and working in Turin. She is the one who invited me to come with her riding at this school, she has been going for nearly a year.
I really love it, its something that keeps you sane living in the city, Im too used to having green around me, so this is nice to spend an hour in the 'country'.

Photos are thanks to my french friend Alain who also comes riding with us and has a fantastic camera!

Just wanted to add (in my frustrated state) because I feel like Im running on the spot: FALLING ON YOUR FACE IS STILL A FORWARD MOVEMENT! xxx

GRRRRRRR!

Seriously PRAY! it can harm!

THE NEXT INSTALLMENT! . . . yes Im still alive!

First of all I have to apologies for the long delay between blogs but I had two job interview one at a design firm and the other an over the phone interview with HP the first I didnt get any news back yet and the second ended up being too far away on the other side of Milan adn they werent paying enough to think about moving there. Anyways . . . . . . enough of that!

A couple of weeks ago Dani and I went to cafe 'Pepino' -like all places in Italy there is always some story to the place! You go to some public toilet and its like 'oh this is the toilet that Da Vinci used before he painted the Mona Lisa', ok a little much but you ge the idea! This cofffee shop was there the icecream on a stick was invented! Yes really! Was so beautiful with red velet walls and goldern trimmings. (see pic's, above)

Also I we went to the soccer . . . . . twice! Yes the girl who wont watch AFL went to two games, they were really fun, its amazing how much warm popcorn on a rainy night can make soccer fun. Unfortunately our team Toro-Turin, lost both times :(

Oh and Im driving! Im ok a little tentative but this weekend we pick up the spare car from Dani's parents place and I can try and drive alone! but I think that maybe I can drive better in Italy becuse its just caos really there are not really rules as such. For example some of ther favorite phrases my driving instructor (AKA Dani) has said whilst teaching me are:
1. Yes its red (the traffic light) but its not so red - translation :if there's no cars you can run the red
2. 'its a type of left turn'- in response to if I can turn left , in what turned out to be a one way road in the opposite direction1
3. The arrows on the turning lanes you dont really mean anything you can turn from any lane, and yes this also includes left form the right hand lane . . . . oh and this includes turning out of a round about from the inside lane.
So when driving is ruled by the law of caos I think Ill be great!

I saw the Devil Wears Prada the other day and lllllloved it! to all girls and some boys I recomend!!!
